From our customers:
"Wonderful homemade food served by really nice people."
"Not only was the food delicious (I had the goulash with buckwheat; my husband the sampler plate), but the restaurant is spotless; and the decor quaintly European without being kitschy."
"...A small, charming restaurant with great attention to detail. Blue and yellow themed tables, glasses, china and window treatments make for a cozy, warm environment. The food was spectacular - from the bacon-wrapped dates to the veal pate, to the stuffed cabbage rolls I ordered. The accompanying veggies were cooked to absolute perfection. My husband insisted on ordering me a piece of chocolate flour less cake for my b-day which I told him I didn't want but it was so light and delicious that I ate most of it!"
"The food is well prepared and nicely presented. It is also quite tasty and does not suffer from the over-salting found in many restaurants, which confirms the restaurant's stated 'healthy food' focus."
"What makes the meals especially enjoyable and memorable are the warmth and charm of Maria and Witold. Both went out of their way to makes us feel comfortable, and almost like family."
"While there are many fine restaurants in Naples, don't miss an opportunity to visit Maria D'anna Cafe for some fine Polish food. The owners have provided a charming spot to enjoy their tasty and beautifully presented dished. They have good reason to be proud of their accomplishments. They have delightful sweets and delicious home-made rye bread."
"We hadn't found a place we liked for a substantial lunch in Naples until we discovered Maria D'Anna today. The authentic Polish food was outstanding, the surroundings clean and comfortable, and the service warm and friendly. A best kept secret!"
"This place was such a find! When you walk in and sit down, you feel like you came to Maria's house (Maria, the owner). It felt like she's has been expecting you for breakfast/lunch/diner with her best china and linens. I am amazed at how much attention she pays to details. Not many restaurant owners do this anymore in effort to save a buck here and there. Not Maria. We ordered pierogi with potatoes and crapes with smoked fish. When I bit into the pierogi, I had a “Ratatouille moment”--- I was taken back to my childhood, to the pierogi my grandmother used to make. Maria’s pierogi is the essence of home cooking. The crapes were delicious and delicate. We also got tea and desert. We shared a piece of a flourless chocolate cake. WOW! To us, the whole experience was warm, delicious and memorable."
"A beautiful experience! I felt like I was in another country. With the unique china and blue & white table clothes, everything clean & neat. Polish dining served up with lots of hospitality! A family run establishment that is run right!"
"Dining at this lovely cafe has all the taste and atmosphere of classic Europe, and Maria and her husband treat their guests so the dining experience will be warmly and totally remembered. This cafe is on our list of favorites."
"If you desire a dining experience with European flair, excellent food, wonderful service and a cozy atmosphere, then this is the place for you."
